Colibri Gateway is designed to meet the specific requirements of manufacturers, material producers and their suppliers, brand management companies and brand owners. This advanced, cloud-based system covers all steps in colour management, from design, through specification of standards, to production and certification of finished products. It facilitates communication and cooperation between all supply chain participants.
An easy to use colour feasibility tool enables the suitability of colours to be checked using real inks and production substrates. An advanced reporting function allows the performance of colours to be monitored during production.
Colibri Gateway has been developed together with two highly reputed global companies, Amcor Flexibles, a market leader and the world's largest supplier of flexible packaging, and Matthews Brand Solutions, which specialises in bringing brands to market.
Comprising two modules, ColorDesign and ColorControl, Colibri Gateway is suitable for a wide variety of different applications, including graphic arts, plastics, paints and coatings, and ceramics. Printing processes include flexographic, gravure, offset and screen for any substrate, using existing or specially designed ink systems.
Colibri ColorDesign enables manufacturers, material producers, brand management companies and brand owners to manage their complete colour programme, from standards development, through colour monitoring and optimisation, to individual supplier review.
Colibri ColorControl facilitates the production of globally consistent colours. By enabling manufacturers and suppliers to define, standardise and reference shades and catalogues, it allows them to manage and control production in accordance with agreed specifications.
Adaptable to fast changing technology, Colibri Gateway can be linked to third party proofing and design systems. It also connects seamlessly with Colibri Essentials state of the art industrial colour matching and quality control software.
Comprising ColorMatch, ColorTint and ColorQuality, and incorporating ColorMosaic 3D colour gamut viewer, Colibri Essentials is also on show at drupa, together with the FD-Series spectrodensitometers, FD-5 and FD-7, from Konica Minolta Sensing.
Colibri is distributed and supported in more than 30 countries around the world by Konica Minolta Sensing, their distributors and selected industry specialists.
