DSales launches Develop entry level mono production system

DSales, the UK distributor for the Develop range of production print systems, has launched the Develop ineo 951, an entry level monochrome production printing system. For the wide variety of frequently changing on-demand jobs that in-plant print providers and external print shops need to supply, outstanding output quality and a high degree of flexibility are vital.

This is where the versatile ineo 951 excels because the outstanding quality of its output ensures any document will exceed customer expectations. Quality output is based on a number of outstanding technological features including genuine resolution of 1,200 by 1,200 dpi; precision LED exposure; and a unique screening technology. In addition an innovative band transfer system ensures that the ultra-fine particles of the polymerised toner are transferred to the paper with greater precision than ever before. A particular advantage of the new band transfer system is the accuracy of the front and back page fit in duplex printing.

The ineo 951 is flexible enough to handle just about any job an in-plant provider or print shop will face. A substrate weight range from just 40gsm to an impressive 350gsm, and size formats up to SRA3 (324 by 483mm maximum) mean that the ineo 951 can cope with a wide variety of mono production work.

With a maximum paper capacity of 9,000 sheets in five cassettes, the ineo 951 is well equipped for any high volume job, and even high volume mix media jobs can be handled with ease. The system comes with a paper catalogue that stores frequently used media, saving a lot of time in handling repeat jobs from regular customers. The modular design of the ineo 951 production system means that numerous customised configurations are possible. Thanks to a wide range of finishing options the ineo 951 can be tailored to a customer's individual production print requirements.

Several features of the ineo 951 open up new business opportunities for in-plant and print shops. A tandem printing function enables two systems to be coupled together to double their output, without the need to invest in expensive software to enable the machines to print together. In the case of the ineo 951, the tandem printing function is a standard pre-installed feature. The combined maximum output of 11,400 impressions an hour provides high speed mono output from two ineo 951s at a lot less cost than a single machine capable of this output speed. With a maximum monthly print volume of 1.5 million, the ineo 951 is robust enough to meet the demands of any production environment.

The ineo 951 comes with numerous options to ensure documents are finished in style. An online booklet maker can produce bound documents of up to 100 pages. The stapling options include two point and choice of corner stapling for up to 100 sheets. The two or four hole punching function can also be used for post-inserted documents. The folding options include a Z-folding unit for A3 documents in A4 printouts and a letter folding function for letters of up to three pages. One general advantage for print shops producing documents aimed at different target groups is that the ineo 951 can print and staple different pages within a single document.

Asked about the particular benefits the ineo 951 can bring to production printers, Jonathan Whitworth, Managing Director of DSales (UK), stated, "The outstanding quality of the ineo 951's printing and the high degree of media flexibility make it the ideal solution for demanding production environments, because to succeed in this segment, print shops need to ensure first class document quality coupled with output flexibility."
