SP Group invests in two HP Indigo B2 presses

SP Group, a supplier of point of sale marketing material, has announced the installation of two HP Indigo B2 presses. With the new installation, SP Group looks to bring its small format digital offering up to date, presenting clients with the best options in terms of flexibility, quality and delivery.

Whilst SP is a leader in variable data for POS, the new additions enable a more focused push of the technology to an expanded client base. It will also allow SP to expand their product offering for existing clients, so they can also explore new capabilities beyond alphanumeric variable data, into graphic capabilities backed by HP’s Mosaic software.

The new devices will boost SP Group’s capabilities in digital printing, allowing the business to grow sales due to an increase in the business’ up-time and as well as offering more reliability on project timescales, due to increased capabilities.

“These new presses will increase the quality, capacity and reliability available to all our clients and, as a result, enable us to reduce lead-times and enhance our total service offering to the retail and other market sectors that we serve,” says Declan Salter, CEO of SelmerBridge, SP Group’s holding company. “Retaining the highest quality products in the marketplace is vital to our future and the increase in capacity will aid service and provide for growth. Simultaneously, HP’s carbon neutral manufacturing process is a positive benefit, closely aligned with our own goals.”

These investments by SelmerBridge form part of an intense capital investment programme in their subsidiaries of SP Group and Service Graphics.

The HP B2 presses offer major innovations in print quality, productivity and colour matching capabilities, while offering a wide range of commercial applications such as canvas wall art and high-impact posters to folders, oversized books, and more - on virtually any substrate.
