OKI EUROPE Set to Showcase Personalisation Technology at The Print Show

OKI EUROPE (UK & IRELAND) has announced it will display its range of industry leading light production and speciality print range and large format range at this year’s Print Show. OKI will work with a number of key partners at the show to demonstrate its innovative solutions for a range of applications, including the hot trend following FESPA of print personalisation.

Rob Brown, Head of Speciality Print, North West Europe, who will be in attendance at the show, said: “According to Deloitte, one in five consumers would be willing to pay a 20% premium for a personalised product – and 70% of respondents in a FESPA global census expect personalised printing to increase. Most analysts predict double-digit growth figures in personalised products over the next two or three years.”

“Whilst this work may be low volume, it is high-value, high-revenue and, most importantly, high-profit margin business. The OKI’s five colour Pro9000 Series can seamlessly sit alongside larger presses, providing the opportunity for short run digital print jobs and enabling larger print houses to optimise the personalisation trend,” added Brown.

OKI’s Pro9000 Series devices are industry firsts as they enable the option of printing in CMYK plus a fifth spot colour in white or clear gloss, or single pass white-under printing. Their flexible media handling also allows them to print on thick card including textured and metallic finishes for a luxurious effect. Designed for short runs without a lengthy set-up, the Pro Series with the newly-launched envelope and speciality media print system, enables users to print a variety of personalised cards, invitations, envelopes and even paper bags. The Pro WT Series enable printing white onto a range of applications such as textiles, for e.g. t-shirts and leather jackets, mugs and even wallets quickly, easily and cost effectively giving increased margins in print for pay environments.

In addition to OKI’s Pro Series, the OKI ColorPainter E-64s large format printer can offer print businesses affordable entry to very profitable wide format printing on a broad spectrum of media which may have previously been unattainable.
“One of the main discussion points of this year’s Print Show looks set to be around how wide format printers are being increasingly used for personalised interior décor – not just for creating floor graphics or wallpaper but also to meet demand for the latest trend of furniture wrapping,” says Jari Tiihonen, Business Development Manager, Wide Format, North West Europe.

The E-64s is an affordable option for sign and graphics businesses wanting to stick to realistic costs of adoption. At the same time, it takes advantage of OKI’s advanced SX ink and proven print technologies inherited from high-end models. The low-odour SX ink improves working environments while achieving a wide range of colours, vivid glossy prints, high-density colour, superior outdoor durability and low operating costs, making it ideal for a broad range of interior and exterior applications.
