Print’n’Finish Refreshed 2021 - Prize Draw Result!

During the recent Print’n’Finish event that took place in September at the Morgana showroom in Milton Keynes, the prize draw was won by Paul Watson, Digital Manager at Loxleys, Sheffield.

Paul has donated the prize of the tour to the Loxleys staff Christmas raffle, to take place during December.
The eventual winner of the prize will receive the opportunity to take the Gin Tour of the Bombay Sapphire Distillery, Laverstoke Mill, Whitchurch, Hampshire.

The Bombay Sapphire Distillery tour includes a hosted guide to take them through the ten exotic botanicals infused into every drop of Bombay Sapphire Gin. They will discover the rare vapour infusion distillation process which makes Bombay Sapphire gin so exquisite, and then enjoy a complimentary Bombay Sapphire cocktail.

The Print'n'Finish event – jointly hosted by Konica Minolta, Premier Paper and Morgana Systems – was one of the first open door events in the print industry for visitors to meet face to face since COVID restrictions started to relax - though government guidelines were, of course, adhered to throughout the three days.
The event saw several new product launches from Morgana, including the DocuBind Pro VFX – an innovative solution to the twin wire style of binding. equipment.

During the event highly decorated and personalised cartons were produced using cartonboard from Premier Paper, which was printed on by a Konica Minolta digital printer, and finished by a combination of Morgana and MGI
The box sleeve workflow was initiated with the visitor name being dropped into the job template, which was then sent through to the KM Curio CE7100 for printing, complete with that personalisation information. From there the job was flood coated on Morgana equipment prior to embellishment, which was added via an MGI Jet Varnish. The 3D effect gave the box that tactile element to set it apart from a regular printed box. A Valiani cutting table then completed the process, cutting to shape and adding crease lines to sleeve, ready for the final folding and gluing processes.
