Plockmatic Group Announces New Structure Following Ray Hillhouse Retirement

Plockmatic Group has detailed the decision of its long time director of offline business, Ray Hillhouse, to retire after a 40 year career in print as of April 30th, 2025.

Following his decision Ray’s roles within Plockmatic Group have been distributed to others in the management team, plus the addition of Ed Hudson to manage the UK sales and service. Ray’s job titles included General Manager of Morgana Systems, Managing Director of Intec Printing Solutions, and VP Sales & Marketing for Plockmatic’s Offline Business Unit.

Ray joined the industry 40 years ago in 1985 as a service engineer with small offset equipment supplier ABDick in his native Glasgow. He soon moved into a sales position then onto a marketing role in the company’s head office in Brentford. He then progressed through various roles and was in a senior management position when ABDick were taken over by Presstek. He left Presstek at the end of 2009 having run the EAME operation to join Morgana Systems Limited.

Ray joined Morgana in 2010 to take over the UK sales team and following Plockmatic’s acquisition of Morgana he again progressed through the ranks taking on various roles in the group, and being part of the senior management team involved in the acquisitions of Watkiss Automation in 2018 and Intec Printing Solutions in 2022.

Commenting on the changes Ray said, “I’ve enjoyed my 40 years in this industry immensely and have been given some great opportunities within the organisations I have worked with. I am very grateful to the staff in both companies who have supported me along this journey, and to the customers and dealers who I have met along the way. A lot of my years in both companies have been spent on the road and in the air with travel abroad, and it’s time to wind down a little.”
